Software Engineer & Consultant
I'm Frederik. I am a software engineer and consultant from Hamburg, Germany with over eight years of programming experience. I work in IT since 2014 – first in logistics, then in fintech, now in e-commerce – and have specialized in full-stack web application development. Next to working in IT I also privately spend quite some time on developing web and mobile applications. Besides doing IT-ish things I'm a lot into photography and image editing, video production (writing, acting, directing, shooting, editing) and audio engineering (composing, performing, recording, editing, mixing, mastering).

November 2023 - Present
In November 2023 I joined Etribes Connect GmbH as a Lead Software Engineer. At Etribes I work on various digital transformation and e-commerce projects with various brands and companies such as Zooplus.
February 2021 - October 2023
From February 2021 to October 2023 I worked at ABOUT YOU SE & Co. KG as Senior Software Engineer and later as Lead Software Engineer in the Checkout Unit. ABOUT YOU runs a fashion retail online shop in more than 30 localized versions. Next to this, under its B2B e-commerce SaaS brand SCAYLE, it runs the web shops of various other renowned brands such as Fielmann, Deichmann, s.Oliver, Tom Tailor, Depot, Marc O’Polo or Kapten & Son.
June 2019 - January 2021
From June 2019 to January 2021 I was part of the newly established Hamburg-based Tech Hub of the Swarovski group. Swarovski is a producer of crystals with its headquarters in Wattens, Austria. At the Tech Hub we mainly developed e-commerce solutions for the Swarovski crystal business.
April 2018 - May 2019
From April 2018 to May 2019 I worked at a small fintech company called Financial Solutions GmbH. Financial Solutions is based in Hamburg-Harburg and provides several standard software products as well as custom IT solutions to financial institutions all over Germany.
August 2014 - March 2018
From August 2014 to March 2018 I worked for the Hamburg-based container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd AG as part of an integrated degree program. Meaning between the theoretical semesters at university I was able to gain practical knowledge by working mainly in the IT department of Hapag-Lloyd.

In March 2018 I obtained my Bachelor of Science in "Computer Science and Business Management" from the Nordakademie after completing an integrated degree program in cooperation with the Hamburg-based container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd AG.

University of California, Riverside
In 2016 I went to Riverside, California, which is about a one hour drive away from Los Angeles. In Riverside I studied at UCR for three and a half months as part of my bachelor's program at the Nordakademie.

Gymnasium Rahlstedt
In 2014 I graduated from high school with the Abitur. The Abitur is the highest possible degree to obtain through the German school system and qualifies for university entrance.
